Restaurants in Corozal Belize

Belize, Lucky Angel,

Here is a list of Restaurants in Corozal Belize that we had the chance to try. I wish I had taken more pictures but the food never had a chance.

Belize Zoo (While not in Corozal we did visit here the day we headed to Corozal so we placed it here)

  • We decided to grab something to eat here before getting back on the road and headin towards Corozal Town. I am loving the Orange Fanta so I stick with one of those for drinks and Raymond grabs a ginger ale. I order Rice and beans with stewed chicken and Raymond orders the fajitas. There again was so much food. I am sure we could have eaten one meal between the two of us. It was very delicious though. I tried to make an attempt to eat it all but failed in the end.

Lucky Angel

  • Our first night in Corozal  we walked to this little restaurant just a few blocks over from where we were staying. I ordered nachos, and a pina colada to start. Raymond ordered a burger and fries with a beer. The food was amazing and the environment here I really liked. We ended up ordering more drinks, a margarita for me and more beer for Raymond.  It was late so we also ordered some water to go as we did not think we would find a supermarket open.

Back of truck

  • While out driving on our second day in Corozal we had to stop and wait to cross a hand cranked ferry. Raymond noticed a lady selling food out of the back of her truck so we decided why not. I had some corn tortilla wraps and Raymond had a Flour tortilla wrap. We had fresh pineapple juice and a rice type drink. It was very satisfying.

Corozo blues

  • We had a random person recommend this place for us. We ordered stuffed jalapenos after asking if they had batter. The waitress said no and when they came out they had batter on them so I did not get to enjoy them. I did get stewed chicken rice and beans here and finally got the potato salad. Raymond ordered a lamb stew type dish which he really enjoyed. We had a couple of drinks here. Gin and tonic for both of us.

Tortuga

  • We went here with our real estate agent Dawn. We all ordered the wings with fries. Raymond ordered a Belkin beer and Dawn and I ordered Pina Coladas. The food was delicious. However I ended up getting pretty sick afterwards from it. Being Celiac there really was nothing on the menu that I could order so I took a chance and had a gluten sensitivity issue for the rest of the day.

Rd’s Diner

  • Our last evening in Corozal we went for a walk to see where we could find some food and something happened that I till chuckle at. Feeling this would have only happened in a movie. As we were walking up one of the streets a young man pops his head out the window and starts yelling at Raymond and I asking if we were looking for food. It was yet another odd experience for me. Apparently one of his friends had seen us walking around and called him. That is how we found ourselves sitting at a picnic table in front of R.D’s diner eating Stewed chicken with rice and beans. Possibly the best stewed chicken I had while in Belize. The owner was extremely friendly and even came out to have a chat with us

Stewed chicken airport

  • Last day spent at the airport. We looked around for food however it ended it with more stewed chicken rice and beans. I made the comment to Raymond that I did not want to see either for several months when I get back. Several months turned into exactly a week. I missed this meal more than anyone could imagine.
