Here is my first impression of Sea N Sun Belize. You pull up to a colourful house that has multiple levels to it. There are a couple of parking spots in front however you are literally right next to the ocean. The most relaxing sound was the waves. This was a place to relax and enjoy the sun. We get the keys from our hosts mother in law who resided upstairs and went to check out our accommodations.
The first thing you see are bright colours, some wooden carvings in the yard, a swing and chairs out to relax in. You walk through a porch area that has a screen around it to keep the bugs out. Got to say I was covered in bug bites but that’s for another time. There was a hammock and chairs in here as well. A nice spot for the evening. I had a couple of lizard friends hanging out in the shade which I was enjoying.
There are 2 apartments connecting to each other. We were given the keys for the one on the right. We opened the secured door and went to see our new dwelling for the next few days. It was smaller than the place we had stayed at in San Ignacio. It reminded me of a seaside apartment. (duh Cassie it was) Bright pink curtains hung on the window. Bright colourful paintings on the walls.
There was a small sectional type sofa and a tv in the living area. There was a fan in the living room and there was air conditioning as well. Everything flowed to the next room. The kitchen was small but functional. We never used it the whole time we were there except to get drinking glasses. This was a great little studio apartment. There was a small apartment size refrigerator where you could store some food. We used it for beverages and our stash of Chocolate we were bringing back with us.
The bedroom was basic which was not bad. You had a bed, a side table and a night stand. While Looking around there really was nowhere to put your belongings so I left mine in my bag. With no doors closing you off from the rest of the house. There was a side door that opened up to the car port on the the right side of the room walking in.
The bathroom was big and spacious. You had a walk in shower with a rain shower head. A bright mural of a beach on the wall. There were no doors closing off the bathroom from the rest of the house which I was unsure how I felt about it. There was an ironing board and plenty of towels for use. A cute unique clean apartment to stay at for a few days while checking out Corozal.
We truly had arrived at a beach apartment.
