One of the things on my food list to try if at all possible was ceviche but more importantly the Conch Ceviche we found this at DVine Cravings.
As luck would have it, not even a two minute walk from the house we were staying in was a little food hut called D’vine Cravings. Not knowing what they served we looked them up online to see and we were excited to find out that Ceviche was what they had on the menu.
We walked down to Dvine cravings to place our order. The atmosphere of this place was whimsical; there were plants climbing the building and up around their illuminated sign. It was beautiful to look at, especially at nighttime. After the lady showed us the serving size options we settled on a small conch ceviche and a small lobster ceviche. There was nowhere to sit outside. We walked back to the house with our dinner in hand. We set everything up on the front deck to have our meal.
Both Ceviches with deep fried corn chips were delicious and very filling. A small would have been enough for Raymond and I. They had this small cup of what looked like hot peppers in it. Raymond told me it wasn’t spicy so me being me took a decent sized mouth full to eat. Boy did i regret that decision. I ran to the kitchen as the heat struck my mouth traveling down my throat. I don’t believe there was enough milk for me to drink to cure the heat that was burning up my mouth. The spice was even making me have trouble breathing. I like some spicy food but that was crazy. Finally when the burning stopped all I could do was laugh. We ate as much as we could of both and placed the rest in the refrigerator for later.
With our bellies full and feeling extremely satisfied we headed back out to go for a walk. Hopefully we get to go to Wine smith. Sadly we left it too late and they were closed by the time we got there. Next time Wine smith… Next time. I really needed to see what this company was all about.
